I sit across every project so no client gets a worse version of our engineering than the last one did.
Before a build starts I review the architecture; while it runs I'm the escalation path when something's genuinely hard. The goal is that our tenth project and our first project meet the same bar.
I care most about the decisions you can't easily undo — data models, auth, the boundaries between services. We take our time on those and move fast on everything else.
